A sea of pastel hues and breathtaking floral arrangements make for the perfect spring wedding, as you will see in today’s wedding feature shot by Ben Yew. We’re certainly not exaggerating when we say that Sam and Emma's outdoor nuptials at Pullman Resort at Bunker Bay could not be more picturesque (and totally pin-worthy!) Stepping onto the aisle of countless rose petals, Emma looks every part the gorgeous blushing bride. And as many of the pictures show, the couple’s entourage sure knows how to have fun at a wedding!
From Emma, on wedding planning and florals...
“Planning a wedding can be very hectic, but don’t forget to drink lots of water, eat healthy food, exercise regularly and get plenty of sleep so that you look and feel good. And most of all, enjoy the special moment – it is the happiest time so make the most of it! Growing up, I always wanted to be a florist and I just absolutely adore flowers so it was very important to me to be surrounded by them on our big day. I went for lots of different types of flowers with soft, watercolour tones and texture with berries and foliage. Our florist was just amazing and absolutely nailed it! We had an amazing array of gorgeous flowers.”
From Ben Yew, the photographer...
"This is the first wedding I shot without assistance from a wedding planner. The awesome couple, being owners of a building and interior design company, created a nice layout for the ceremony and reception venues. Emma planned her wedding in great detail, and the Pullman Resort at Bunker Bay was the perfect choice. The theme colours were amazing and I really love the bouquets that consisted of many types of flowers in pastel tones of soft pinks, peaches, lilacs, creams, whites and silvery blues. The highlight of the day for me was the release of butterflies during the ceremony. Emma told me it was she who first popped the question to Sam in Year 11; “Will you go out with me?” Ten years later, Sam proposed over dinner on a memorable holiday in Phuket, Thailand. Sam chose an Italian restaurant overlooking the shoreline of the beach in Phuket to propose on their 10th year anniversary. Emma was greeted by a huge bunch of flowers on their table. The staff at the restaurant couldn’t help but let out funny smiles as they were all in on the surprise. Emma said, “After dinner, Sam started looking very nervous and he very sweetly asked me to marry him & I was just so happy I cried!!”
Congratulations on your marriage Sam and Emma! May it be every bit as beautiful as your wedding!
