Sometimes, the most eclectic of mixes combine to create looks which both surprise and delight. This was entirely the case in Jeremy and Daphne's fun celebration! Who knew that tassels, dinosaur figurines, pink flamingos and bold stripes could come together so beautifully? Hats off to the couple's decorator, Wonderland for Detailed Planners, for pulling off such a chic affair for this stylish couple! You also won't want to miss the video at the end which captures all the lovely moments in this heartwarming wedding.
How did Jeremy propose?
"He proposed at sunset on a beach in Brittany, on one knee." ~ Daphne
Was there an intended theme/style/colour palette for your wedding?
"We didn’t really want a theme nor any particular colour palette. So we picked out a couple of random things that we liked (tassels, dinosaur figurines, inflatable pink flamingos, blue-and-white striped cloth) and our decorator Melissa from Wonderland For Detailed Planners pulled the entire look together without pigeon-holing the look. WFDP decorated the dinner venue, and having a decorator made things a breeze so the bridal party could focus on having fun; they took care of everything, down to how the linens were folded. The Sentosa Pavilion was perfect – a two-storey building in the middle of nowhere. Dinner was served in an air-conditioned space on the first floor and dancing after on the rooftop. Planning was done by my maid-of-honour who used be a wedding planner (phew!), most of the flowers were arranged by one of my bridesmaids, and the boys helped a bit too - the groomsman was our deejay!" ~ Daphne
Are there any other special stories or details you would like to share?
"It’s true, weddings are about the people you love, not about the décor, the food or the dress. So we kept it intimate, personable and just about having loads of fun. By a stroke of luck, we managed to get Father Arro to consecrate our marriage, and he was a close friend of Jeremy’s late grandfather; and we got married on his grandfather’s birthday too. The groom’s stepdad played the bagpipes as my father walked me down the aisle, and during the dinner reception, our friends gave hilarious speeches, hilariously sung (it’s possible), and most importantly, danced the night away under the stars. We left out things like a dinner reception march-in (we kind of just strolled in, without fanfare), pre-wedding photoshoots or traditional door games earlier in the morning as we wanted to sleep in! And that way, Jeremy didn’t see the dress until we saw each other in church." ~ Daphne
Congratulations on your marriage Jeremy and Daphne! May it be every bit as beautiful as your wedding!
