Boucheron will be hosting a special exhibition featuring its iconic and extensive Quatre collection, which will include many wedding and engagement pieces, as well as specially-curated High Jewellery from Boucheron’s own museum collection in Paris. Visitors will also receive an exclusive Boucheron wedding gift set comprising a ring pillow and special Boucheron red packets (ang baos) for the bridal party when they purchase a pair of wedding bands during the exhibition. The exhibition will run from 22 July – 31 July 2016 at the Atrium of Takashimaya, Ngee Ann City.
In the lead-up to this exciting event, we had the privilege of speaking with famed Parisian jewellery house Boucheron about its iconic Quatre collection of rings. The Quatre collection, which includes on-trend stackable and matching wedding bands and engagement solitaires (perfect for marking marriage milestones or anniversaries), is best known for its beautiful mix of textures and colors, and technically challenging fusion of metals, making each ring a unique reflection of its owner. The wide variety of Quatre rings provides endless combinations that will take you from engagement to wedding to everyday wear with ease.
The Quatre collection
The Quatre collection has grown to become one of Boucheron’s most beloved and popular collections since its launch in 2004. The Quatre collection combines four bands in white, yellow, rose and Boucheron “chocolate” gold, with four design motifs that are signatures of Boucheron – gadroons, a line of diamonds, the “Clous de Paris” and grosgrain.
The combination of colours and design motifs creates a beautiful aesthetic and tactile experience, and the goldsmithing techniques developed by Boucheron to create the motifs and join the bands without welding are an example of Boucheron’s deep technical mastery refined to an art form.
We could go on about the Quatre collection, but like all icons, it’s hard to do it justice. The best way to experience it is to join us at Boucheron’s special exhibition and view the collection for yourself.
