We’ve said it once and we’ll say it again (and again), backdrops can add tons of personality to a wedding, make perfect statement pieces and provide plenty of photo opportunities for the bride and groom as well as their guests. With this in mind, Reina and the team from Wonderland For Detailed Planners put together a styled shoot starring a lovely real couple and based around 3 different backdrops at Shangri-La’s Rasa Sentosa Resort, captured by Super Panda Presents. The end result? One that will surely inspire couples to take the backdrop plunge. Take it away, Reina!
Traditional solemnisations which are more official than celebratory are a thing of the past. Today, couples are pushing creative boundaries at their solemnisations to create ceremonies that best represent their personalities.
The peach coloured ruffled backdrop is decorated with a garland of flowers creating a soft, romantic mood. This is balanced by the use of rustic white Tiffany chairs with grey cushions, so that it is not overly girly. Along the aisle, short love quotes are calligraphed onto plywood, and decorated with driftwood and ferns. White petals are also scattered to demarcate the march-in aisle and add a touch of colour to the grass.
This backdrop adds a touch of personalisation to the solemnisation as names of the couple and their family are mentioned. This is suited for couples who are looking for a touch of DIY, without having to do everything by themselves, while still creating impact. The chairs and cushions are kept white so that the aisle, filled with ombré rose petals, will pop.
Double Happiness Backdrop
Add a touch of tradition, while still retaining a contemporary look with this backdrop. The colour and height of the backdrop, against a sea of black Tiffany chairs and ivory cushions, makes it outstanding and impactful. For consistency, ribbons are tied to the chairs along the aisle.
Thank you so much for sharing these brilliant backdrops with us, Reina and Team Wonderland! *Readers please note that Wonderland For Detailed Planners will be taking a break from events from March 2015 and will be focusing on personal florals and workshops.*
