Every girl dreams of having her own fairytale wedding, and Cel got just that when she wed Dan at Capella Singapore in a celebration of gold, cream and soft pink pastels. Photographed by Axioo with lush florals by Boenga, the wedding was a storybook all on its own, telling the couple's tale through the beautiful details that peppered their nuptials including the white rabbit themed decor that signified their first date at The White Rabbit.

Tell us your story.
"Dan and I first met after an introduction by a mutual friend, and we quickly became inseparable. A few months later, Dan proposed with the most beautiful Destinée ring, a special order from Cartier in Paris. From that magical day, everything seemed to fall into place in a serendipitous way.
When Dan was awarded a trip to London to receive a prize, we took the opportunity to spend a day in Paris for our engagement photo shoot with Aneta Mak." ~ Cel
What was the theme of your wedding?
"The theme for our wedding was our fairytale. Details of our lives together, from our first date at The White Rabbit, to the turtledoves that signify Christmas and the beauty of my dresses were subtly and artfully woven into the storybook-inspired invitations and décor. Snow-white peonies, blush pink David Austin roses, cascading cymbidiums, hydrangeas, vendela cream roses and bits of baby’s breath formed our soft floral palette. The lyrics of eden ahbez were inscribed in all the art that decorated our wedding and engagement video – ‘The greatest thing you’ll ever learn, is just to love and be loved in return.’
Vera Wang's gowns are the embodiment of romantic, effortless perfection. Wearing her diaphanous creations of French tulle, organza and Chantilly lace made me feel like I was floating on a cloud. I loved each gown dearly; the softness of the delicate ivory Hayley, the organic beauty of the nude pink Flora, and finally, the belle of the ball – my stunning scarlet Katarina.
I had always dreamed of the music I would play at my wedding. Many hours were spent arranging our wedding playlist, which filled the Capella ballroom with an eclectic mix of the Cure, the XX, Camera Obscura, Lana Del Rey and Nancy Sinatra. A few months earlier in Sydney, we heard two street violinists play the Godfather’s theme song (Nino Rota, 1972). We loved it so much that we arranged our string quartet to play it for our second march-in, creating a mood that was dark and beautiful. With the classy and witty Chermaine as our emcee and my talented mummy and bridesmaids in charge, all Dan and I had to do was entrust ourselves to the moment and let the day unfold ethereally.
Our wedding was a magical and meaningful experience, with the ephemeral beauty of the peonies and roses serving to reflect a greater beauty – that of our love, and the love of our dearest family and friends. So true are the words of Van Gogh, for it is good to love, and whosoever loves much performs much, and can accomplish much, and what is done in love is done well.” ~ Cel
