Singaporeans love travelling to experience all the beautiful diversity our planet offers. But how do you blend local traditions and the convenience of a modern wedding with new and exciting cultural experiences to create a wedding with a difference?
We recently received an interesting answer to this conundrum in the form of Tamarind Hill and Villa Samadhi’s newest garden wedding space, which will be on show at Samadhi Wedding Trail, a unique experiential wedding event on 27 August 2017. (Want a special pre-wedding experience? Jump to Villa Samadhi’s exclusive couples’ retreat, limited to 10 couples!)
Tamarind Hill and Villa Samadhi are a restaurant and boutique hotel respectively, located amidst the serenity of Labrador Nature Reserve, which provides guests with an easy reprieve from Singapore’s incessant urban bustle. They are unique spaces in their own right – a pair of black-and-white heritage buildings constructed in the unmistakable colonial architectural style. Its interiors are a blend of rustic chic and minimalistic – a departure from the elaborate décor of many Singapore wedding venues – and makes for an excellent blank canvas to create and style your own unique wedding.

If this wasn’t already intriguing enough, Tamarind Hill and Villa Samadhi have very recently brought in Singapore’s first Bedouin-style stretch tent, helping bridge the gap between the familiar and exotic. A statement piece that ignites a sense of adventure, the enormous tent was imported from South Africa and can accommodate 100 seated guests. Illuminated by halogen and fairy lights, it is also strong enough to support hanging light decorations, small chandeliers, and even disco lights. Wooden floorboards and tiffany chairs are also included in the event packages, making this tent the perfect mobile wedding venue which can be moved to an outdoor space of your choice.
If you want to experience the beauty and nostalgia of Tamarind Hill and Villa Samadhi, or the magic of Singapore’s first Bedouin-style stretch tent, join us at the inaugural Samadhi Wedding Trail. In addition to a 10% off your wedding package*, there will be on-the-day privileges for wedding couples and plenty of activities to keep you busy, including guided tours of the venues, talks and workshops, food, drinks, and giveaways.
*To be eligible for the offer, a minimum spend is required, and is only applicable for the first 30 signed packages.
