Double Couple Wedding: A Celestial-Themed Celebration in Phuket

What’s better than one happy wedding? Two, obviously! Sisters Angela and Ka Yan, along with their fiances Jun and Shuen, hit upon a winning idea: To hold their nuptials concurrently at a destination wedding in Phuket, Thailand.

Held at the luxurious four-bedroom Grand Villa Satis in Aleenta Hotel Resorts & Spas, both couples opted for a soft and dreamy colour palette with a celestial-inspired theme. Planned by Wedding Boutique Phuket and captured by Phuket-based Darinimages and i2 Production, the outdoor wedding ceremony by the sea was adorned with twinkly fairy lights and shiny gold and silver stars, and topped off by a unique floral wedding arch that could serve as a backdrop for both couples.

After tying the knot, guests were invited to dinner under the starry night sky. The blissful brides wore glittery gold gowns as sparklers waved in the air.

A word from wedding planner Wedding Boutique Phuket:
“Imagine two sisters who used to do everything together in life, growing up side by side but now separated by life and living in different countries. What better way for a big family and friends reunion than getting married on the same day? What an indissoluble family bond, made even stronger by the desire to experience the most important moment of their lives together.

Angela and Ka Yan Lau created a double couple wedding! As they said, “Our love was written in the stars”, Wedding Boutique Phuket decided to design and create for this occasion a very special celestial theme in watercolour shades combined with night blue and gold and silver accents.

Their ceremony, with around 100 guests, took place on a stunning beachfront lawn of a private villa in Phuket, with a watercolour-shade floral arch that we called “Trilogy”. This altar was specifically created to give room to both couples, with the celebrant in the middle, to run the wedding ceremony at the same time.

Moon and stars filled the venue everywhere, from the small details on the tables to the myriad of golden hanging stars, and to the big moon-shaped photo booth.

As soon as the guests arrived, they immediately walked into a dreamy atmosphere with glittering powder everywhere, stellar tattoos available at the register table, wooden stars to be signed as guestbooks, and a magic potion welcome drink.

The seat chart at the reception dinner, composed of half-moon mirrors, marked the name of different constellations for each table. And a Milky Way of lights and candles created a magical atmosphere.”

Congratulations on your marriages, Angela and Jun and Ka Yan and Shuen! May it be every bit as beautiful as your weddings!
