Eddie and Stephanie’s wedding journey was filled with happy surprises; the bride found out that she was expecting, and the groom sang her a song and proposed again in front of their guests just before the vow exchange. Très romantic! Pairing delicate baby’s breath with butterflies, Hitched Weddings and Parties planned the couple’s dream ceremony at Shangri-La's Rasa Sentosa Resort. To be sure, it was an extra meaningful occasion for the lovers as they celebrated both their union and anticipation of the new addition to their family in these captures by Antelope Studios.

How did you meet?
“I can only say that love is all around and everything is predestined. I worked as a business development manager in a law firm coordinating appointments for clients with our lawyers. It so happened that my husband had bought a property, and engaged my company's service. It was love at first sight and our love sparkled into a marriage!” ~ Stephanie
How did you decorate your venue?
“We imagined having something minimal but elegant. Our solemnisation took place by the lawn and we had a baby’s breath arch with fairy lights as our ceremony backdrop. Other than baby’s breath, I wanted balloons for the wedding and with the help of Denise and her team, we had them as our table centrepieces. We love that our wedding was also filled with many small details like butterflies, a unique ring pillow, and a walk-in with sparklers etc.” ~ Stephanie
What was your theme and colour palette?
“The theme was ‘whimsical’ with white as the main colour.” ~ Stephanie
What are some of your favourite memories from the day?
“While starting to plan for our wedding, I realised that I was 1 month pregnant! My loving husband then took to planning our entire wedding with his buddy Yang from Substance Films, who connected us with many of his lovely wedding friends. Special thanks to Denise and Michelle from Hitched Weddings and Parties who made our dream wedding come true!” ~ Stephanie
Do you have any tips and wedding advice for other brides and grooms-to-be?
“Some money cannot be saved. We strongly encourage grooms and brides to-be to find good wedding planners to coordinate and plan their weddings. Trust me, there will be a thousand and one things to remember and worry about during your wedding preparation. And the last thing you want to do is to stress yourself out with actual day wedding coordination. Why not leave it in the hands of professional wedding planners so that you and your guests can fully enjoy the biggest day of your lives!” ~ Stephanie
What do you think makes a strong marriage?
“Communication, communication and communication! We always prefer to straighten things out, no matter how small the problem is. Through effective communication, we understand one another perfectly and this helps foster a strong marriage. I strongly urge couples to communicate and resolve problems right away and not wait until small problems become big ones! And to all husbands-to-be, always remember that sometimes losing is winning. Constantly making your wife happy will definitely make for a strong marriage!” ~ Stephanie
A word from Denise of Hitched Weddings…
“Eddie and Stephanie’s solemnisation was an exclusive and intimate affair that took place at the seaside of Shangri-La’s Rasa Sentosa Resort for about 100 guests. Baby’s breath was the main flower for the decoration, accompanied by butterflies. Blessed with perfect weather, their outdoor solemnisation was beautifully decorated with vintage Tiffany chairs, a flower petal aisle, and a baby breath’s arch with fairy lights. Eddie planned a surprise proposal before they exchanged their wedding vows with their love song – ‘LOVE’. After signing the marriage certificates, we marked it with a butterfly release session and a march-out with popped confetti. Before the dinner started, the couple was ushered in with a sparkler lineup formed by their guests. Their cake cutting took place under the starry night sky, after which guests were served a BBQ dinner by the chef on site. It was a beautiful night filled with heartfelt speeches, games, live music, good food, laughter and drinks!”
Congratulations on your marriage, Eddie and Stephanie! May it be every bit as beautiful as your wedding!
