Te’amo MY along with the resort’s island crew put together a canopy adorned with dusty blue, red, beige and green blooms, dangling dreamcatchers and lace curtains for Edison and Yuki’s beachfront boho chic-themed ROM ceremony captured by The Wedding Barn Gallery at Laguna Redang Island Resort, Malaysia. Besides witnessing the couple’s marriage to one another, the guests who joined in on the 3-day getaway also had the opportunity to take part in other memorable activities including releasing turtles and underwater photo shoots!
What was your theme and color palette?
“The theme of our ROM ceremony at Laguna Redang Island Resort was modern boho-chic. The themed featured dreamcatchers, lace curtains, and feathers which were mainly styled in a color palette of dusty blue, red, beige and green.” ~ Edison and Yuki
How did you decorate your venues?
“We engaged Te’amo MY who worked closely with the island’s crew for the entire venue layout and decoration set up.” ~Edison and Yuki
What sort of wedding favors did you opt for, and why?
“We selected heart-shaped mini mooncakes together with customized programme fans for our guests as the date of our ROM ceremony fell within the week of the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival. Since the ceremony was held along the beachfront with a series of different programmes throughout the entire event, we thought it would be a great idea to prepare programme fans for the guests as souvenirs too.” ~Edison and Yuki
Please tell us more about your ROM ceremony!
“We are truly satisfied and enjoyed the entire staycation. Most of our guests joined us for a 3-day - 2-night trip at the resort, and our ROM ceremony fell on the second day of the festivities. Our guests were welcomed with the resort’s refreshing welcome drink upon their arrival on the first day, and were thrilled to join the turtle releasing event organized by the resort, followed by welcome dinner that evening.
Another favourite with guests took place while the bridesmaids and groomsmen were having some fun at a photo shoot with us on the second morning - our guests joined the resort’s snorkeling trip to a marine park to experience a memorable marine life and underwater photo shoot of their own, before attending our ROM ceremony in the late afternoon. We had also made a special request to the resort to prepare fireworks by the beach for our guests to mark the end of the ceremony.” ~ Edison and Yuki
Do you have any tips or wedding advice for other brides and grooms to-be?
“For the brides and grooms to-be who wish to have their wedding by the beach, we would advise to always have a plan B no matter the weather forecast. We were so lucky to have had the opportunity to discuss our concerns about the weather with the resort’s team. It was raining throughout the middle of the event and the team professionally handled the situation by having their indoor hall ready for our guests to continue with their meals and the activities until the rain stopped.” ~ Edison and Yuki
Do you have any tips or advice on what you think makes a strong marriage?
“To love, communicate, accept, forgive, trust and have faith on each other. Most importantly there’s a quote goes ‘Happy wife, happy life!’” ~ Edison and Yuki
Congratulations on your marriage, Edison and Yuki! May it be every bit as beautiful as your wedding!
