Lebanese designer Elie Saab is known for his stunningly exquisite wedding gowns. For his son, Elie Saab Jr.’s wedding to Christina Mourad, then, it comes as no surprise that he designed a total of four outfits for the beautiful bride.
Check out these wonderful images from their three-day wedding festivities from 18-20 July, 2019 in Lebanon:
The pre-wedding party
To kick things off, the couple threw a pre-nuptial party at Le Plateau de Bakish, where Mourad wore a sheer lace cape and cream suit from the brand’s Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2019 collection.
The wedding ceremony
The star-studded big day at the Church of Bkerke was attended by supermodels Sara Sampaio and Karolina Kurkova; celebrities like Dita Von Teese; and even Lebanon’s prime minister. For the ceremony, the bride donned a custom-made embroidered gown with a 4.5 metre-long train decorated with a whopping 500,000 sequins!
At the after-party in Faqra Club, the newlyweds’ 1,200 guests danced all night beneath a spectacular fireworks display. Mourad looked like a princess in a rose and gold bustier dress, which came with a 3.5 metre-long train embellished with 650,000 gold sequins and 150,000 Swarovski gems.
The post-wedding party
The party continued with a sunrise-to-sunset celebration at Saab’s residence near Beirut the next day, where the happy bride wowed in a sultry silk gorgette evening gown from the brand’s Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2019 collection.
