Farrukh and Bea’s Tropical Cross-Cultural Wedding in Singapore

Singapore was the ideal destination for Farrukh and Bea’s lively, confetti-filled union. Hailing from Pakistan and the Philippines respectively, the couple chose The Fullerton Hotel as their wedding ceremony venue, and threw a tropicana-themed wedding bash for 60 of their closest family and friends.

Planned and styled by Amperian and captured by Andri Tei Photography and Simplemotion Videography, the couple transformed the ballroom into a tropical paradise with eye-catching arrangements of palm tree fronds, vibrant flowers and flamingo figurines. The newlyweds dined in the hotel’s ballroom before heading to The Fullerton Bay for the after-party.

How did you meet and fall in love?
We were sitting across one another at a birthday party and began a quick conversation. With a little help from his friends, Farrukh planned a way to meet Bea again, with an invitation for dinner and conversations – one of many to come.” ~ Farrukh and Bea

How did Farrukh pop the question?
On a weekend beach trip to Pangkor Laut, Malaysia, Farrukh was secretly planning to propose. Returning back from a hike, they were settling down to relax when he asked Bea: ‘Would you like a chocolate?’ And of course, any girl cannot resist chocolate! He took a small box out of his work bag, got down on one knee, and asked for her hand. With Farrukh trembling in anticipation, Bea said: ‘Yes!’” ~ Farrukh and Bea

What was your theme/style/colour palette?
We wanted a wedding that was tropical, inspired by Farrukh’s wedding proposal in a tropical jungle resort. We also wanted it to be as colourful as possible, with a touch of lucky golden pineapples!” ~ Bea

Any tips or wedding advice you have for other brides and grooms to-be?
Pick the best wedding photographer and videographer because they will capture the memories that will last forever. Hire an organised wedding coordinator to facilitate the day. Go digital with wedding invites. Save trees!” ~ Farrukh and Bea

Any tips or advice on what makes a strong marriage?
Be each other’s best friend. Happy wife, happy life!” ~ Farrukh and Bea

Congratulations on your marriage, Farrukh and Bea! May it be every bit as beautiful as your wedding!
