This couple’s pre-wedding photoshoot at Pine Forest, Bandung, Indonesia, shot by The Wagyu Story, features a gorgeous circular floral arch. If this doesn’t make your heart sing, we don’t know what will! As for us, we can already see the oversized wreath’s pink blooms filling our dreams for days to come.
Please tell us a little about your love story!
"It is a story that started about 16 years ago. We first met in elementary school and liked each other. It was ‘puppy love’. After that we lost contact and took different paths. Suddenly last year, out of nowhere, he contacted me, and like normal love stories out there, we got closer by the day and fell in love again.
There was no proposal at all from him. Ever since we first started dating, we just wanted to get married as soon as possible. However, this did not go as smoothly as we thought. My family didn’t approve of our relationship. But we always believed that God would provide a way. And as a wise man once said, “Miracles happen when you least expect them”. Out of the blue, my father gave his approval to marry Gerry. I guess, in this case, my father was the one who proposed?!” ~ Devina
Please tell us more about the photoshoot.
"We love to see pictures with stories behind them. Not only to show beautiful backgrounds, gorgeous dresses, and perfect makeup, but also to show our expressions of love towards each other. For this reason, we engaged The Wagyu Story as they specialise in capturing those candid moments. The Wagyu Story helped us with all the preparations and ideas for the concept and props. We then contacted one of the decoration vendors and engaged them to help with the props.
On the day of the shoot, I think we were very blessed. It was raining heavily from 3am that day, but it stopped right before we reached our first location. And because of the cold air after the rain, mist appeared, which Gerry liked so much. During our trip to the second location we got stuck in a traffic jam because our President was visiting the city. Yeah I had the same question on my mind: ‘Of all days, why today?’ *Laughs* The Wagyu Story team suggested we continue the shoot the next day but we insisted that we could do it all that day and thank God the weather turned out clear when we arrived at the second location, and the amazing thing was that the sun showed up! Perfect lighting!
In the end, the photo session went very well. We absolutely had great fun and we are ever so grateful to have had The Wagyu Story team as our photographers.” ~ Devina
