With nothing but a rental car, cameras and a drone in tow, Hasib and Reen traversed Iceland in a day with photographer Fad Manaf. The photos you’ll see here are a testament to their epic journey – one that culminated at the black beach of Sólheimasandur in the south coast, where a U.S. Navy aircraft crashed in 1973.
A word from the photographer…
“It was a simple shoot with no one but me and the couple, wandering around Iceland in a day. Hasib and Reen rented a car, and we drove out from Reykjavik. We got up close and personal with a couple of horses we saw on the side of the road, and stopped at Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls. Iceland is beautiful no matter where you look – so much so that we even stopped in the middle of the road to take a couple of photos!
Our journey wouldn’t have been complete without a trip to the famous crash site of a U.S. Navy aircraft at Sólheimasandur, in the south coast. It took us about one hour to get from our parking spot to the wreckage, but it was definitely worth it.”
Thank you for sharing these gorgeous photos with us, Hasib and Reen!
