Jonathan and Cheryl met through mutual friends nine years ago. During a ski trip in Niseko, Japan, he got down on one knee and proposed to Cheryl in the snow.
Setting their hearts on an idyllic island wedding in Koh Samui, the Singaporean couple’s nuptials were celebrated in Samujana Villas, with planning and styling by The Wedding Bliss Thailand, flowers by IAMFLOWER and photography by Phuket-based Darin Images.
About the wedding:
The wedding’s colour palette reflected the fun, playful atmosphere that the couple wanted to convey, which is why wild flowers and shades of pink, purple, yellow and blue were used throughout.
For a dash of bohemian flair, the wedding arch featured woven macrame, and the welcome area showcased a stunning wildflower hanging display.
Dinner had a woodsy yet classy feel, with an awe-inspiring floral centrepiece hanging from the ceiling and a minimalistic table setting for guests. Floating candles surrounded by wild flowers were also lit during dinnertime for an even more romantic ambience.
A word from Jonathan and Cheryl:
“Walking down the aisle and spending time with family and friends was the most anticipated moment of our wedding day. Jonathan prefers weddings with a simple, elegant feel, while Cheryl’s dream travel destination is somewhere exotic with lots of open space and the sea and mountains nearby. We got the best of both worlds at our wedding!”
Congratulations on your marriage, Jonathan and Cheryl! May it be every bit as beautiful as your wedding!
