You may remember Jordan and Mercy’s playful engagement shoot in California, and today we’re thrilled to be sharing in their bliss again as they tie the knot in an elegant gold and blush garden wedding at Latitude Bali captured by Elikon Picture.
What was your theme and colour palette?
“We had an elegant garden theme with a colour palette of gold, blush, light peach, green and white.” ~ Jordan and Mercy
How did you decorate your venues? Did you undertake any DIY projects?
“Our wedding venue was at the Latitude Bali which has a spectacular view of Pandawa Beach. With the beautiful beach as our backdrop, we didn’t decorate much except for our dinner reception which consisted of light bulbs strung above our guests’ tables and chandeliers dangling over our sweetheart table to create a romantic atmosphere.
Our DIY project was a welcome box that we created for our guests which was presented to them upon checking in to their respective hotels. We researched what items to include and how to provide them in the most cost-effective way. We included various items such as banana chips, candy, cashew nuts, hand sanitisers, sunscreen lotion, a Bali postcard and mosquito repellent. In addition, we created a pocket guide which provided useful information for our guests (e.g. things to do in Bali, where to eat, wedding contact information, wedding itinerary, and a welcome letter from us.) We wanted to thank our guests for coming all the way to Bali to celebrate our special day with us, and the welcome box was a small token of appreciation for them.” ~ Jordan and Mercy
What sort of wedding favors did you opt for, and why?
“We chose soap that was locally-made for our wedding favours with the tagline “love is soaperb” as we wanted to give our guests something they would use and at the same time something made in Bali to serve as souvenirs.” ~ Jordan and Mercy
Do you have any interesting moments or stories to share from the wedding?
“The week leading up to the wedding was a really stressful time for the both of us! We had a lot of details to finalise and on top of that, the volcanic ash situation caused a lot of flight delays and cancellations! Several of our family members’ flights were rerouted while others had to take another flight out the next day. We were afraid that our guests would not be able to make it to Bali! Thank God everything worked out fine in the end with our guests turning up in time for our wedding!” ~ Jordan and Mercy
Congratulations on your marriage, Jordan and Mercy! May it be every bit as beautiful as your wedding!
