This wedding is truly a match made in McHeaven! Read on to find out why Wedding Scoopers. :)
Sabrina was in Oxford, London, one Christmas visiting Jordan who was staying there at the time. The couple took a short trip to Paris and Jordan proposed to Sabrina over a Hot Fudge Sundae at McDonald’s!
Working closely with their vendors for the wedding was very important to the couple. They engaged Lightedpixels Pixies for photography and Grego for makeup following a good experience with both vendors for their ROM. They also engaged Harijanto from Boenga for flowers and decor. Sabrina recalls feeling an affinity towards Harijanto, who was able to capture and realize the couple’s vision.
The two had an artist in Australia create a watercolour artwork for the cover of their invitation cards. The crest for their envelopes and ceremony booklets was designed by Le Paperville.
Sabrina tried on 19 dresses from various boutiques in London but the fifth one she tried on, Vera Wang’s Gemma, was unforgettable and was the dress she finally chose. Before returning to Singapore, Sabrina went to Glasgow where she found reasonably priced bridesmaids dresses from Monsoon. She then sent the dresses to Melbourne, Kuala Lumpur, Bandung, and Hawaii, where the bridesmaids were!
For the ceremony, the couple engraved jumbo ice cream sticks from Etsy for guests to write their well wishes on. The also made purple silk table cloths at Chinatown for their tea reception and wrapped 40 candle holders with lace.
Personal touches from the couple were also seen at the dinner reception. The two customized their own mocktail and called it Little Angel (one of Jordan's nicknames for Sabrina). They put flags on the cupcakes they served at dinner that said Love is Sweet and Eat Me. Jordan’s cousin, Sylvia Ratonel from Singapore Idol, even serenaded them as they entered the ballroom!
Sabrina’s advice to future brides and grooms to be?
“Cherish every moment. We cannot turn back time. I was quite nervous before the ceremony, but loosened up at the dinner. Having friends and family coming from different corners of the world to one ballroom was an uplifting experience. To realize they were here for us was priceless.”
Congratulations Jordan and Sabrina!
