Last year we shared Larry and Jophia of wedding stylist Flour's DIY Singapore wedding and now we’re delighted to be featuring their maternity shoot in verdant Ubud, Bali (where their baby picked out her own name) captured by Andre of Fire Wood and Earth. Nothing brings us more joy than seeing our Wedding Scoop couples welcome new loves into their lives.
A word from Larry and Jophia…
“The shoot took place at a campsite in Ubud. We hoped that by immersing ourselves in nature, we could connect our baby girl with nature as well.
To us, the session we had with Andre was not just a maternity shoot, but something far more intimate and personal. We wanted Andre to help us document milestones of our little one, and to remember moments of honesty, fun and ultimately the beauty of such moments.
We got the little one to pick her name during the shoot and it was quite hilarious actually. She didn't move for a good 5 minutes, but she eventually kicked when we asked if she liked 'Kaylee'. We can’t be sure if that's really what she wanted, but oh well, she kicked and we took it to mean that she wanted to be named Kaylee. *laughs*
We also did a mini styled set - a makeshift workstation for us to craft and prepare her first gift from us - Jophia's wedding gown was part of it. The shoot definitely felt surreal, with all sorts of emotions running high due to the coming arrival of our little one.”
Congratulations on your baby girl, Larry and Jophia!
