Real Crazy Rich Asian Weddings – Part 2

Loved Kevin Kwan’s book Crazy Rich Asians and its film adaptation? Well, you’re in for a treat with The Wedding Scoop’s sneak peek into the real weddings of Crazy Rich Asians!

In Part 1, we shared stunning visuals from Mingyou and Stephanie’s cherry blossom-themed celebration at The Clifford Pier, The Fullerton Bay Hotel, Singapore. In Part 2, we’re thrilled to showcase more amazing weddings, all of which were planned by Singapore luxury events and wedding planner The Wedding Entourage.

Shane Filan fever
Decked out in glittery, silvery accents, this wedding took performances to the next level with Irish heartthrob Shane Filan – of ‘90s boyband Westlife fame – serenading guests during the dinner reception. We’re imagining that he sang songs like “Flying Without Wings” and “More Than Words” as a tribute to the happy newlyweds – how utterly swoon-worthy!

Lattice and lace
Lush pink and white cherry blossom blooms filled this wedding, with breathtakingly intricate latticework and lace details on the stage and over the entrance. What’s more, popular Singapore actor/host Chua En Lai was the emcee for the entire celebration. With his cheeky, clever wit, we’re certain that there was lots of laughter throughout.

Good as gold
This grand wedding was the picture of stylish sophistication. The colour palette of gold and soft pinks added an aura of elegance to the venue, while a sparkly accent wall and elaborate table displays conjured an atmosphere of quiet luxury.

Magic mirror
This couple’s poolside solemnisation took place under a quaint gazebo decorated with beautiful floral arrangements. Their dinner reception, meanwhile, set the stage for one lavish celebration, with a spectacular giant tiered wedding cake that looked like a work of edible art, and a main mirrored aisle accented by candlelight as they did their march-in. Now that’s a walk to remember!
