Victor and Charlene’s Pre-Wedding Shoot in Paris Featuring Her Magical Light-Up Wedding Gown

After I saw Zac Posen‘s light-up gown worn by Claire Danes at the 2016 Met Gala red carpet, I knew I needed it at my wedding. I’m so glad that I found a designer from Singapore who could create this gown. The dress took four months to complete, with eight mini battery packs to light up the fibre optic cables that were sewn into the gown. I can’t thank my designer Danny enough for making my dress exactly how I wanted it to be.” ~ Charlene

Dreams do come true, and in bride-to-be Charlene’s case, it came in the form of an ice-blue “starlight” Cinderella gown that lit up magically as dusk fell in the City of Lights.

The couple’s pre-wedding photos in Paris, captured by Malaysia-based AMAZING Group, featured iconic attractions like the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower. The light-up gown by Singapore-based designer Danny L. Atelier Singapore was an attraction in itself, and looked just as ravishing as Zendaya’s Cinderella light-up gown at the 2019 Met Gala

A word from Charlene on the pre-wedding shoot:
“We love old-fashioned romance and glamour, so we decided to have our pre-wedding shoot in Paris as it has everything that makes us swoon. I wanted to look stylish and be myself, and my four dresses from Danny L. Atelier Singapore and MOEP perfectly matched all the locations and instantly elevated the photos.

Each dress had its own personality and sass, and conveyed a sense of high fashion and classic elegance. I love how the images look like they came straight out of a magazine editorial. My husband wore two custom-made tuxedos from Fox Custom Tailor.

The photographer and cinematographer (Keda and Nicholas) did an amazing job with the pictures and video. They also made us very comfortable and didn’t make us pose in cheesy, artificial ways. It was a fabulous experience working with Keda and team as they made every shot look magical.”

Thank you for sharing these beautiful images with us, Victor and Charlene!
