Margaret River’s delightful Secret Garden was chosen as the venue for Arosha and Sharminie’s ceremony as its wisteria-draped walkways and flowering gardens made a fitting tribute to the memory of the bride’s grandfather who was a keen gardener. Muted shades of lilac and silver complemented the colours of the surrounds in an outdoor wedding so pretty and overflowing with romance, its captures by Ben Yew Photography will have you mesmerised.
Please tell us more about your wedding venue!
“Arosha and I chose to get married in Margaret River as we have spent a lot of our lives studying and working in the city. Having our wedding in the South West allowed us to enjoy some time out from our normal lives and provided the most beautiful setting for our wedding.” ~ Sharminie
Do you have any interesting moments or stories to share from the wedding?
“The most memorable moment of the day was when I was walking down the aisle with my husband at the end of the wedding ceremony. I was overwhelmed with joy and seeing all the faces of our closest friends and family as they showered us with rose petals just added to the magic of that moment.” ~ Sharminie
What was your theme and colour palette?
“We both wanted to have an outdoor wedding but I wanted to have a garden-themed wedding in particular because my grandfather was an avid gardener. After months of searching for a venue, Arosha and I fell in love with Margaret River's Secret Garden for its elegance and natural beauty.
We chose lilac and silver as our wedding colours as they were soft colours which complemented the colours in the garden. We worked these colours and the garden theme into our wedding stationery, bridal party outfits and reception styling. Miriam Avery from Chic Rustique played a huge part in making our vision come to life as she created all the floral arrangements and styled both venues on the day.” ~ Sharminie
Do you have any tips and wedding advice for other brides and grooms-to-be?
“Spend some time thinking about the moments in your relationship which hold special meaning for both of you. Think of a particular song, place, poem, flower or even food that reflects those moments and incorporate them into things like the wedding favours, ceremony, music or decorations. These decisions may not be the biggest ones you have to make, but they will make your wedding a true reflection and celebration of your relationship.” ~ Sharminie
Congratulations on your marriage, Arosha and Sharminie! May it be every bit as beautiful as your wedding!
