Zendaya Transforms into Cinderella With This Light-Up Ball Gown At The Met Gala 2019

All of this year’s Met Gala outfits were show-stopping. But what caught our eyes and took our breaths away immediately was the moment Zendaya stepped out.

Looking every bit like a modern-day Cinderella, the ravishing singer-actress took the theme “Camp: Notes on Fashion” to the next level in a custom Tommy Hilfiger poufy-sleeved gown, paired with a sparkly minaudiere (or handbag) fashioned to look like Cinderella’s carriage.

As Zendaya’s stylist Law Roach (aka her “Fairy Godbrother”) waved his wand, gentle wisps of magical smoke filled the air and bright streaks of light glowed from the bottom of her gown, moving steadily upwards to cover every inch – and in true Cinderella style, she left a glass slipper behind on the (pink) carpet!

While gowns that glow aren’t exactly new at the Met Gala (watch this video of Claire Danes’ glow-in-the-dark Zac Posen gown that she wore in 2016), they sure are magical. One Singapore bride was so inspired by this trend that she created her own light-up wedding dress (you have to watch a video of her march-in)!

Now, sit back and enjoy these amazing snapshots and video footage of Zenderella:
