We have the dreamiest couple and destination wedding to share with you today at Conrad Bali's iconic Infinity Chapel overlooking the spectacular Indian Ocean. Couples-to-be planning outdoor and garden celebrations, these beautiful captures by Kai from Lightedpixels Pixies are certain to have you going a little pin-crazy!
How did you meet?
"We were introduced to each other by two of our close friends, who thought that we might hit it off. The first time we met was at a barbeque at our friend's house."
How did Llewellyn propose?
"In October 2012, we went on holiday with another couple to New Zealand. Prior to the trip, Llewellyn came up with a plan to hire a local photographer to capture the proposal. However, this was done under the pretext that our friends (who were engaged) wanted to do a pre-wedding photoshoot in New Zealand to capture some of the country's picturesque scenery. On 4 October 2012, the four of us met up with the photographer at beautiful Lake Tekapo and our friends started their pre-wedding photoshoot near the Church of the Lonely Shepherd, which was beside the lake. At the end, they invited us to take a few photos together to wrap up the photoshoot. This was arranged beforehand to be at the edge of the water on a little rock outcrop. After taking some group as well as couple shots, Llewellyn got down on one knee and proposed."
What was the color palette of your wedding??
"We had a turquoise colour theme in a beach setting, so the groomsmen and bridesmaid attires were carefully chosen to match both the colour theme as well as beach setting."
Do you have any tips or wedding advice for other brides and grooms to-be?
"Our advice would be to start planning as early as possible. This will minimize any last-minute stress when the actual wedding is around the corner. Also, seek the help of your bridal party to ensure that the day runs smoothly (especially for those couples without a wedding planner). We understand that there might be some family restrictions for most couples, but the best decision we made was to have a small wedding. This allowed us to have more time to mingle with our guests and made our wedding more intimate and cosy, which resulted in everyone really enjoying themselves. Of course we could not have done this without the support of our families and friends."
Congratulations on your marriage Llewellyn and Sheryl! May it be every bit as beautiful as your wedding!
