How cool is this couple’s choice of outdoor wedding venue and the bride’s lace gown by Israeli designer, Inbal Dror? To-die-for! Every time we’ve been to the Marina Barrage, the breeze has been just incredible and the view, equally spectacular! Kudos to Veiverne and Debbie for uncovering this gem of a location and pulling together the most vibrant of celebrations.
What a great way to keep guests entertained at an outdoor wedding - lawn games and our personal favourite, giant jenga!
The bride and her bridesmaids carried vivid silk instead of fresh flower bouquets. These would make lovely keepsakes well after the wedding too!
Would you believe that Debbie's dress was tailor made through instructions given just via email with no in-person fittings whatsoever? The genius of Inbal Dror...
Veiverne and Debbie wanted their wedding to be meaningful but certainly not somber. They decided to put in a lot of personal touches into their celebration and endeavoured to do something different both in their engagement shoot as well as their dinner reception.
“I come from a graphic design background and designed the wedding website, the Save the Date cards, invitations, wedding programs, guestbook and badges for the guests. I also made custom labels for the jam and honey jars which were given away as wedding favours. All this eventually culminated into a great wedding on the Marina Barrage Green Roof which was a huge mission in terms of transforming the space into a beautiful transparent dome tent decorated with colourful paper lanterns.
We painstakingly spent 10 hours the day before with friends hanging the lanterns from a 7 metre tall roof. Veiverne and myself were there till 10pm and we also saw to the entire set-up till an hour before the wedding. Music is also a big deal to the both of us and I got up with my brother to perform alongside the amazing band, The Project. With guests flying in from all around the world, amazing décor by In Merry Motion and fantastic food by Preparazzi, the day was truly a party to remember!” ~ Debbie
Congratulations on your marriage Veiverne and Debbie! May it be every bit as beautiful as your wedding!
