Botanical Green and White Inspiration Board

Botanical Green and White Inspiration

It's easy for the modern bride to feel lost with the multitude of colour palettes to choose from for her big day. Here at TWS, we say when in doubt, go back to the basics. In the May edition of our monthly inspiration board, we take our cues from nature to show you how to achieve the perfectly pared down look with a botanical garden-inspired green and white palette.

Styling Tips

- Fresh green hues lend themselves well to all-white weddings. Pair simple floral arrangements with crisp white table settings for a modern look.

- Opt for delicate white flowers en masse; even something as simple as baby's breath works wonders in larger quantities.

- Succulents are a great way to add a twist to any garden or rustic-inspired wedding: incorporate them into your bouquets, boutonnieres, and even your dessert table!

- Hints of gold add an elegant touch to botanical weddings. Gold-rimmed plates, simple gold chandeliers, and gold chairs are all fantastic options; the key here is not to overdo it.

- Look to Mother Nature and incorporate earthy browns and tans to your wedding. This is especially great for rustic nuptials.

- For a more tropical-inspired celebration, use bright leafy greens such as ferns to your advantage, or the escort card leaves seen in our inspiration board.

- Light, mint green hues make for the perfect bridesmaids dresses! Have the men don matching ties for maximum effect.

{What is a wedding moodboard and why use one?}

A wedding mood board is a way to visually communicate how you envision your wedding to look or feel. It should give a sense of your wedding's overall style and mood. It may not show you the the exact items you will have on your special day (this can be worked on later in your planning) but is used to share your vision with wedding vendors who can help bring your ideas to life.
